One phd-project associated with SPKI got funding from the regional health trust for 2023. The project is a research initiative sprouting from the collaboration between the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), The Arctic University of Norway - UiT, SPKI and the Centre for research-based innovation Visual Intelligence. We plan an exciting 6-year 50% PhD for a clinician and have set up a strong interdisciplinary study group that includes regional as well as international researchers in the field.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality and patient safety of thyroid nodule diagnostics by developing an artificial intelligence-based clinical decision support (CDS) tool. The project is led by Vegard Brun at UNN. More information about this project can be found here.
More information about all the projects that got funding from the regional health trust for 2022 can be found on Helse Nord's website (in Norwegian).
